Federal Holidays

What are federal holidays?

Federal holidays are authorized holidays recognized by the Government of the United States. On these days, all federal and private offices are closed. Any private sector employee working on legal holidays can receive additional payment. Additionally, each state and city has the authority to observe its own state or city holidays.
