I love paths. I love paths...and stairs. I often try to use places such as these in my photography becasue not only do they add interest (other than, say, a flat surface) but they also add some mystery. They lead somewhere. I've been thinking lately about other places I could use in my wedding photography (when the opportunity presents itself) and I think I can add fire escapes to the list. Not only do they lead somewhere, they add dimension and, on older buildings, they add the beauty of architecture and history. Love it! I loved this one I saw in Long Beach. What other places do you think would make a great photo? Share in the comments! :)

Road Trip
It's been a couple of months since we took a little road trip to Idaho to see some friends, and I am just now doing a blog post on it. A road trip with a one year old is no easy feat, so we were very relieved to get home! We still had a great time driving through Nevada, Utah (oops!) Idaho, Oregon and down through California, and I managed to get some photos along the way!
So different from the concrete jungle we are used to! Beautiful!
Everyone was pretty worn out from all that driving.
We had to visit the Gold Gate Bridge because I never had. Such tourists :)
And spent the evening roaming around Fisherman's Wharf.
If you are ever in San Simeon, you HAVE to go to Sebastian's. It is a little hole in the wall across the highway from Hearst Castle. They have THE best meatloaf sandwich you'll ever have in your life, I promise!
