Engagement **Richard and Mallory**

!Ok, ok, so, technically I was a second shooter for this engagement session.  My lovely friend Justine of Bella Kai Photography invited me to tag along, and I couldn't refuse.  I love photographing couples in love, it's sorta my thing.  Photographing a couple in love at a carnival? Now, that, my friends is a nice treat!  I also had my first ferris wheel ride.  There may have been a little anxiety and a lot of laughs...the things I do for a great photo.   I am honored to have been included in Richard and Mallory's (they qualify for the sweetest couple ever) fun shoot, and I wish them all the best in their new life together!

Details **Symbolism**

I love how so many elements of a wedding mean something.  I
think my favorite wedding symbol is that of the rings.  When the pastor lifts up the ring, talking about how it is never ending, relating that to marriages, I just love it!

Maternity **Mimi**

I met Mimi through an organization that I volunteer with that reaches out to women with hg.  She is currently in her second hg pregnancy, and she is such a trooper!  I was so happy to be able to drive to her home and photograph her beautiful little family.  It's different for me to photograph an hg mom.  I try to make the shoot as short as possible, because being photographed while nauseous isn't very fun.  I am so excited for Mimi to be almost done with her pregnancy and to have her sweet baby in her arms soon!  What an honor to network with fellow sufferers/survivors!

You can read more about Mimi's journey through hg here.  You can learn more about hg, and how you can help fight this horrible disease here and here.

Maternity **Sarah and James**

Sarah and I used to spend our lunches together. We worked in the same place.  I have fond memories of quiet laughter, a little birthday cake, and hugs.  Sometimes life happens and you get caught up in it and lose touch.  I hadn't seen Sarah for years, and one day I ran into her mom.  After a few minutes of chatting, I discovered she was expecting her first child, and had hg! Now, if you know me, you know I am passionate about hg and it's sufferers, having been one myself.  I am happy to say that Sarah is doing great and expecting her little one soon! I was so honored to spend an cold, almost wet afternoon with her, her husband, James and their little dog in Newport Beach a couple of weeks ago.  They are a beautiful couple and I know their little one will be so blessed! I look forward to photographing their bundle of joy, and rekindling a sweet friendship.
